Overview
Over the past fifteen years, Katie has coached more than 350 leaders, including C-suite leaders, founders, entrepreneurs, emerging leaders, and middle leaders. She has also coached over 200 groups and teams.
When Katie works with coaching clients, she loves helping them to figure out their challenges, lean into opportunities, and to develop the skills that they need to excel. She regularly coaches leaders who need help to develop the confidence and skills that they need to operate at their level. Perhaps they've recently received a promotion, or their organisation is going through a tough time and they need to work in a way that they haven't had to before. Being a leader can feel very lonely, and Katie provides the support that leaders need.
Achievements
Some recent coaching work that Katie is proud of:
Providing team coaching for a senior leadership team in a high-profile charity who were arguing a lot and performing weakly as a result, to help them work together and improve their results.
Assisting the COO of a group of Further Education Colleges to gain a CEO role at a more prestigious college. (Helping leaders to achieve the promotions they want is a very satisfying part of Katie's work!)
Helping an exec who was burnt out and feeling jaded with their company to transform their relationship with work, regaining work-life balance and creating a renewed sense of purpose.
Providing team coaching for a newly-formed senior leadership team in a large US law firm to help them learn to work together.
Approach
If asked to describe her coaching style, Katie would say she's a well-informed, supportive thought partner. She makes use of her extensive knowledge of leadership theory, as well as what works in practice, to help her coachees to work out what they need to do to overcome their challenges. She asks powerful questions which prompt reflection, and helps clients to ascertain what's going to work for them in practice. She's available to them on WhatsApp and email between sessions in case they come up against any obstacles they weren't expecting.
